MY 2019 NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTION

2019 is here. IT'S HERE! It's a new beginning and a fresh start. New Year's Day. The day known around the world as the time to make "new year's resolutions," set goals, and begin. But to me, it's more than that.

To me, the start of a new year is the start to a new cycle of seasons, a new calendar on your wall, a new realization that time is passing. It's more than just a day to set goals. It's a day to be reminded of what really matters in our amazing time on Earth...

I usually choose a resolution that has to do with eating healthy. Or working out. (Finding time to exercise is hard!) But this time around, I'm focusing on something bigger. Someone bigger.

You might have seen the quote on my wall in the background of my YouTube videos that says, "FAITH IS NOT KNOWING WHAT THE FUTURE HOLDS, BUT KNOWING WHO HOLDS THE FUTURE." Well, that "who" is God and He is exactly what I'm focusing on this new year.

I'm going to greet my stress...with trust in God.

I'm going to greet my fear...with hope in God.

I'm going to greet the temptation to compare myself to others...with a passionate desire to be exactly who God made me to be.

I'm going to greet my failures...with gratitude that God is shaping my character and strengthening my faith.

It's not going to be easy. It's difficult to always choose love. It's difficult to always choose to believe who God says you are, but let me tell you. It is so worth it.

God gives me the comfort and love and peace that I've always needed and ever will need, and I'm going to give my 2019 to Him. I'm so excited to see what He has in store for all of us.

Psalm 13:15 "But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation."
